Nationwide Children's is a participating institution with the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS). From Dec.1, 2016 to May 31, 2017, applications will be accepted in ERAS. The fellowship committee will not begin reviewing applications until mid-January with interviews to take place in March. As per ERAS policy, beginning June 1, 2017, ERAS will no longer accept applications; however, we will continue to accept applications until July 31, 2017 and offer interviews to qualified applicants. Applicants will submit their applications via email using the Common Fellowship Application.
ERAS does not allow for the uploading of In-Training Exam (ITE) Scores. When uploading application materials to ERAS, applicants should email their ITE scores and other requested materials not available for upload to the Program Coordinator.
A successful candidate will have passed the USMLE steps 1, 2, and 3 and be in position to complete an anesthesiology residency which would allow for entrance into the American Board of Anesthesiology certification process (or its equivalent.) The candidate must also be able to apply for and obtain an Ohio State Medical training license. Financial assistance for travel expense related to candidacy interviewing is available for applicants invited to interview.
All four ACGME positions for the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Pediatric Anesthesiology Fellowship are in the National Resident Matching Program.
For those applying after the ERAS May 31 deadline, the following pieces are required to apply when submitting your application via email:
- Common Fellowship Application
