Surgical Programs

Nationwide Children’s Hospital is verified as a Level 1 Children’s Surgery Center by the American College of Surgeons Children’s Surgery Verification quality improvement program. As the second-largest pediatric treatment center in the United States, our surgeons perform more than 4,000 operative procedures every year. Candidates choose the Nationwide Children’s program due to the pediatric focus, high clinical volume and diverse faculty.

The surgical fellowship programs provide the mentoring and training needed to develop expertise in diagnostic, operative, and perioperative care for children with congenital and acquired anomalies and diseases, whether developmental, inflammatory, neoplastic or traumatic. Upon completion, the fellow will have acquired the knowledge, skills, and enthusiasm for life-long learning, teaching and practice of the pediatric surgery subspecialty.
