Minimally Invasive Surgery Fellowship

Minimally Invasive Surgery Fellowship

The Pediatric Minimally Invasive Surgery Fellowship at Nationwide Children’s is a one-year fellowship.

The program is designed to provide experience to identify and utilize the least invasive methods to manage surgical disease in infants and children. Rotations in endoscopy, radiology and surgery will provide a well-rounded and unique surgical experience. The fellow will learn the evaluation, patient selection, room set up and advanced minimally invasive surgery techniques, including an opportunity to become familiar with robotic surgery. The incorporation of imaging and endoscopic modalities will allow comprehensive training in all minimally invasive techniques.

As part of the fellowship, there are opportunities to initiate research projects and submit papers for presentation and publication. There is also flexibility to include areas of interest for the fellow. The fellow has an opportunity to interact with a diverse group of pediatric surgeons and participate in all aspects of the educational programs offered.
