Nationwide Children's Hospital receives recognition on Forbes Best Large Employers list.

(COLUMBUS, Ohio) – Nationwide Children’s Hospital has been named one of America’s Best Employers by Forbes for the sixth consecutive year.

Named to the national list of 700 top large employers (companies with more than 5,000 U.S.-based employees), Nationwide Children’s is ranked as the number one employer and hospital in Ohio. Nationwide Children’s was also ranked in the top two of children’s hospitals nationwide.

The America’s Best Employers ranking recognizes companies that demonstrate commitment to fostering workplaces where employees can thrive, as evaluated by employees. Forbes’ America’s Best Large Employers list is based primarily on independent survey responses from more than 217,000 employees working at companies in the U.S. employing at least 1,000 people. Participants were asked if they would recommend their own employer to friends and family, and to rate it based on a range of criteria including salary, work environment, benefits and opportunities to advance.

Overall, Nationwide Children’s ranked 35th among the top 700 large employers category and 9th nationally in the healthcare and social services category.

“Our team makes Nationwide Children’s Hospital the amazing place that it is,” said Tim Robinson, chief executive office of Nationwide Children’s Hospital. “They are incredibly dedicated to providing exceptional care to the children we serve, and to developing treatments that make a difference around the world. This recognition is a testament to our team’s unwavering commitment to achieving best outcomes for children everywhere.”

The list was completed in collaboration with market research firm Statista. Survey responses were tallied and analyzed to include data from the last three years of survey responses. More recent data and evaluations from current employees were weighted more heavily than others. Companies pay no fee to participate or be selected.

The complete list can be viewed on the Forbes website.
