FosterHub Kicks off Renovations on New Transitional Housing and Training Center

In partnership with the Appalachian Children Coalition and Nationwide Children’s Hospital, FosterHub celebrated today the project launch for a $7.3 million comprehensive transitional housing and training center to support youth as they age out of the foster care system. The center is funded by Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine’s landmark investment in Ohio’s Appalachian communities.

Nationwide Children’s Hospital announced today that longtime donors Joe and Linda Chlapaty have donated $25 million to support the recently launched Institute for Mental and Behavioral Health Research. The gift will fund innovative research, endowed faculty to recruit nationally renowned researchers, and construction for new facilities.

Nationwide Children’s Hospital is honored to announce that it has received a historic 10-year commitment of $100 million from the Nationwide Foundation. This landmark announcement marks the public launch of the hospital’s “Empower the Possible” campaign that with other gifts brings the campaign’s fundraising total to more than $270 million, more than halfway to the campaign goal of $500 million.

Nationwide Children’s Hospital announced today Butterfly PAWS, an expanded facility and therapy dog program to support healing, and emotional and mental well-being and contribute to best outcomes for patients, families and staff. To celebrate Butterfly PAWS, the hospital unveiled “Canine Corner,” a special area on the first floor of the hospital featuring seating for families during their visit, animal friends Gus and Junebug and a digital display dedicated to highlighting pups and patients alike.
