In 2015, more than 34,000 anesthetics were provided with over 30+ daily anesthetizing locations which include:

  • 15 rooms in the main operating room including an intraoperative MRI/OR suite, an OR dedicated for robotic surgery, and a hybrid cardiac OR, with 6 new additional operating rooms scheduled to open by 2017 (total 21)
  • 2 cardiac catheterization labs (hybrid OR/Cath lab design)
  • 3 Dental rooms in a separate dental clinic
  • 4 MRI suites (not including MRI in the main operating room)
  • 3 Interventional Radiology Suites with an additional room for “less invasive” procedures
  • 3 GI/Endoscopy suites
  • 4 Ambulatory rooms in main campus
  • 4 Ambulatory rooms in Westerville Surgery Center
  • Procedure room in the Neonatology Intensive Care Unit and Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit
  • Sedation locations (CT, nuclear medicine, ultrasound)
  • Procedure Center (2 operating rooms)

  • 15-30 peripheral nerve blocks with continuous catheters/month
  • 50-75 neuraxial  blocks/month (caudal, thoracic/lumbar epidurals)

Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesia

  • 329 cases with cardiac bypass
  • 193 non-bypass/thoracic cases
  • 612 cardiac catheterization cases
  • 180 electrophysiology cases
