Dermatology Fellowship

Dermatology Fellowship

The Pediatric Dermatology Fellowship trains dermatologists to become pediatric dermatology experts who provide care to children with dermatologic disorders in both the outpatient and inpatient settings of pediatric tertiary care centers.

The primary goal of the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Pediatric Dermatology Fellowship is to train dermatologists to become experts in the field of Pediatric Dermatology. As a result, they will be able to provide care to children with dermatologic disorders in both the outpatient and inpatient settings of pediatric tertiary care centers. In addition, the fellowship will prepare fellows to be engaged in scholarly activities that will prepare them for a career in academic pediatric dermatology, including teaching, clinical and/or basic research, presenting, and preparing manuscripts for publication. The fellow will also become prepared to sit for the Pediatric Dermatology Subspecialty Board Certification Examination put forth by the American Board of Dermatology.

The Pediatric Dermatology Fellow will work directly with board certified pediatric dermatologists seeing a multitude of patients in diverse clinics. In addition to general pediatric dermatology clinics, we have specialized clinic times for procedures, hemangiomas, and vascular malformations. Our fellow will also assist with dermatologic treatments and procedures in our excellent surgical centers as well as performing inpatient consults on the inpatient units of Nationwide Children’s.

The one-year Fellowship program is accredited by the American Board of Dermatology (ABD).
