"I’m an MD/PhD candidate being co-mentored in the labs of Elaine Mardis, PhD, and Kevin Cassady, MD, and my dissertation work involves using an immunogenomics approach to investigate the impact of oncolytic virus treatment on immune responses to tumor antigens in syngeneic mouse models of high-grade gliomas. The broader significance of this work is its potential to reveal novel tumor antigen targets in highly aggressive brain malignancies, as well as its role in better defining how oncolytic viruses drive anti-tumor immune responses in ways that may be further leveraged to improve brain cancer outcomes."

“I am a MD/PhD student in Ohio State’s Medical Scientist Training Program, and I am pursuing my PhD on RNA splicing and therapeutics in pediatric cancer in the labs of Dr. Dawn Chandler and Dr. Timothy Cripe at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Following my MSTP training, I plan to enter a pediatrics residency and complete a hematology/oncology fellowship while focusing on my research goals in the pediatric cancer field.”
