Cole Budinsky, MD
2018 - 2019 Sports Medicine Fellow
Cole Budinsky, MD, is our Sports Medicine Fellow for the 2018-2019 academic year. He grew up in northeast Ohio, graduating from Poland Seminary High School. During his undergraduate studies, he pitched for Wright State University’s Baseball team and also served as a Student Government Senator for the College of Math and Science on campus. After completing a B.S. degree in Exercise Biology, he attended the Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University. He then completed a year of general surgery in Dayton,OH, before completing his Family Practice Residency in Latrobe, PA with Latrobe Family Practice-Excela Health.
While in Latrobe, PA, he enjoyed providing medical coverage for Kiski Prep High School student-athletes, as well as providing coverage for other surrounding HS football games in southwestern PA. He is an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians as well as the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine.
Dr. Budinsky is looking forward to being the team physician for Ohio Dominican University and Bishop Ready High School. He is excited to begin a career in sports medicine, with interests in Ultrasound/Minimally Invasive Procedures, Throwing Injuries, and Concussion Care.
