Jassani Bailey
Administrative Fellow, First Year

Jassani attended Miami University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Public Health with a concentration in Health Policy and Administration. During her undergraduate career, she held several leadership roles, including serving on executive boards of Love You Like a Sister, Miami University Gospel Singers, and the Zeta Mu Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She also worked at the Center for Career Exploration and Success as a Peer Career Coach and served as an undergraduate teaching associate. Her passion for healthcare and health equity deepened while working as an office assistant in a private pediatric practice, primarily serving Medicaid patients. Jassani is currently completing her Master of Health Services Administration at Xavier University. As a graduate student, she has participated in case competitions and led the planning and facilitation of student networking events aimed at strengthening relationships among students, alumni, and healthcare leaders. She also worked as a Support Services Coordinator at CareStar, Inc., where she supported Medicaid waiver programs and contributed to cross-functional projects in revenue cycle management, business development, and healthcare operations.

She is particularly passionate about maternal health, health equity, population health, and quality improvement initiatives. Outside of work, Jassani enjoys spending time with family, exploring new restaurants, and playing the daily Wordle.

Sydney Belt
Administrative Fellow, Second Year

Sydney attended Clemson University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with minors in Business Administration and Microbiology. During her undergraduate studies, she gained leadership experience through various positions with the Clemson Outdoor Recreation Center and Camp Merri-Mac for Girls. Following graduation, she spent time as a legal assistant at Hatfield-Temple Law, specializing in personal injury, workers’ compensation, and medical malpractice. It was during this time that she focused her career intentions on healthcare administration. Sydney will earn her Master of Healthcare Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University. Here, she served as president of her class, enjoyed competing in case competitions, and worked as a teaching assistant with the online MBA program. While enrolled in her master’s degree, Sydney worked as a summer research assistant with University of California, Irvine (UCI) Health. In this role, she worked within the burn center and emergency departments on a variety of projects relating to patient flow, strategy, and barriers to access.

Sydney is eager to learn more about operations, strategic planning, quality improvement, and health equity initiatives. Outside of work, she enjoys music concerts, playing sports (mainly soccer and pickleball), spending time outside, and watching Clemson football!
