Lee M. Hlad, DPM is a fellowship trained foot and ankle surgeon in private practice in Columbus, Ohio. He completed his undergraduate degree at Mount St. Mary college in New York and then attended Podiatry school at the New York college of Podiatric Medicine in New York city. He then went on to attend residency at Grant Medical Center in Columbus and then completed a pediatric orthopedic fellowship in limb lengthening and deformity correction at the Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore MD. He is the only podiatrist in central Ohio with privileges at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. He actively is involved with residency programs of Grant Medical Center and The Ohio State university. He specializes in foot and ankle issues in both adults and children. He resides in Westerville with his wife, three children, and puggle. He is an avid outdoorsman and jeep enthusiast.

After graduating Cum Laude from The Ohio State University College of Medicine, Dr. Nahata was an intern and resident in pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. In 2010, she became a fellow in endocrinology at Harvard Medical School, while serving as an Assistant in Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital in 2013. Dr. Nahata has received the House Officer Development Award and is a professional member of The Endocrine Society and Pediatric Endocrine Society. Dr. Nahata also joined the Center for Biobehavioral Health in The Research Institute at Nationwide Children's as a faculty member in April 2016.

Under Linda’s leadership, Nationwide Children's became the first children’s hospital in Ohio to receive Magnet™ Recognition for exhibiting improved nurse-to-patient ratios, increased levels of patient satisfaction, reduced mortality and morbidity rates and significantly higher educational preparation of the registered nurse workforce. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology at the University of California, San Diego and completed her medical degree and general surgery training at the University of California, Los Angeles. During residency, she completed the Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars Program and obtained a Master’s in Health Services Research from the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. Louis I. Bezold, MD, is director of cardiology consultative services for the Heart Center at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Dr. Bezold received his medical degree from the University of Maryland. He completed pediatric training, including an advanced pediatric cardiac imaging fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine (Texas Children’s Hospital). Dr. Bezold served as Director of the Pediatric Echocardiography Laboratory at Texas Children’s prior to moving to the University of Kentucky where he held the Jennifer Gill Roberts Professorship in Pediatric Cardiology. At UK he served as Director of Noninvasive Pediatric Cardiac Imaging, Division Chief of Pediatric Cardiology, Pediatrics Vice Chair, UK HealthCare Enterprise Quality Director and Associate Chief Medical Officer for Kentucky Children’s Hospital. He has longstanding interest in quality initiatives in pediatric cardiology, serving as secretary on the Board of Directors of the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) for echocardiography laboratories and on the IAC Research Committee. His clinical interests include pediatric and fetal echocardiography and management of congenital heart disease. His research interests include quality and value in medical care delivery. Dr. Bezold is board-certified in pediatric cardiology.

Lourdes Hill, LPCC-S is an outpatient mental health therapist in Behavioral Health with the THRIVE gender and sex development program at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Lourdes provides individual and family therapy interventions to children and youth with gender related concerns.

Prior to this position, Lourdes was a clinician with the Family Support Program or FSP, which specializes in trauma informed services with focus on child abuse and maltreatment. As an FSP clinician, Lourdes facilitated both individual therapy and trauma treatment groups for children and youth with history of sexual abuse and/or exposure to family violence. Additionally, Lourdes provides individual and group interventions for youth requiring a higher level of care by utilizing an evidence-based blended treatment model intervention (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy).

Lourdes has been a clinician with Behavioral Health for over twelve years and actively provides trainings and psychoeducation in the community, and has been a presenter at the annual Transforming Care Conference in Columbus, Ohio.

Luke Tipple, MS, CSCS, joined Nationwide Children's Hospital in July of 2018 in the Sports Medicine Department as a sports performance coach. Before joining the performance team, Luke spent the previous 13 years as an assistant strength and conditioning coach of Olympic sports at The Ohio State University. At OSU, Luke oversaw the yearly training of a variety of teams including baseball, wrestling, and dance, men's gymnastics, soccer, and volleyball, men's and women's swimming and diving, pistol, rifle, cheerleading, and tennis. Luke received his BS from Miami University and MS from the University of Miami and is also a certified strength and conditioning coach (CSCS) from the Nation Strength and Conditioning Association.

Lynn Rosenthal is the president of The Center for Family Safety and Healing (TCFSH), which takes an integrated team approach to breaking the cycle of family violence and child abuse. Lynn, a nationally known champion for the prevention of family violence, previously served as the director, Violence Against Women Initiatives for the Biden Foundation, where she advanced the Foundation’s programs to create cultural change towards ending domestic violence and sexual assault. From 2009-15, Rosenthal was the first-ever White House Advisor on Violence Against Women, coordinating efforts to address domestic and sexual violence. In this capacity, Rosenthal co-chaired the White House Task Force to Protect Students from Sexual Assault and led interagency collaboration to spark new prevention initiatives. Rosenthal also served as vice president for Strategic Partnerships at the National Domestic Violence Hotline, executive director of the National Network to End Domestic Violence and leadership positions at state domestic violence coalitions in Florida and New Mexico. In her role as president of TCFSH, Rosenthal works closely with local advocates and community partners, including Franklin County Children’s Service, Columbus Division of Police, Columbus City Prosecutor Office, CHOICES for Victims of Domestic Violence, the Ohio Domestic Violence Network, and a diverse group of community organizations to address all aspects of family violence, including child abuse and neglect, teen dating abuse, domestic violence, and elder abuse.

Dr. Adunka specializes in otology, neurotology and lateral skull base surgery and will share his time between The Department of Otolaryngology at The Ohio State University and Nationwide Children's Hospital as full Professor, the Division Director for Otology, Neurotology, and Cranial Base Surgery and the Director of the University's Hearing Program. Dr. Adunka conducted research that established temporal bone histology data that served as the basis for cochlear implant electrode insertion trauma, helping re-educate cochlear implant surgeons to utilize proper cochleostomy and insertion techniques that reduce damage within the inner ear and thus facilitate hearing conservation. Also, Dr. Adunka has been developing technology that may ultimately allow surgeons to use feedback during the cochlear implant electrode insertion process, a step that will likely improve hearing preservation rates and device performance.

Richard E. Kirschner, MD, FACS, FAAP, has joined Nationwide Children's Hospital as chief of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and director of the Cleft Lip and Palate-Craniofacial Center. Dr. Kirschner is nationally recognized as a leading authority in cleft lip and palate, velopharyngeal dysfunction, 22q11.2 deletion syndrome and hemangiomas/vascular malformations. He has been widely published in many leading professional publications, is co-editor of the text Comprehensive Cleft Care, and is actively involved in research and teaching. Dr. Kirschner has taught at educational symposia in several countries and is co-founder and medical director of Casa Azul America, Inc., a non-profit organization for the delivery of cleft care to underserved children in central Mexico.

Dr. Wood completed fellowship training at the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital in Cape Town, South Africa, one of the most prestigious institutes for pediatric care in the world.  The hospital serves as a national resource for the care of complex anorectal malformations (ARM) and Hirschsprung disease for all of Africa.  He ran the Colorectal Clinic and a weekly colorectal operating room, overseeing hundreds of cases.  He has participated in numerous international colorectal mission trips, serving as a surgical partner on the Colorectal Team Overseas (www.CTOoverseas.org) where he performs surgeries in addition to training and educating international providers in complex colorectal care. He has published multiple peer reviewed journal articles as well as book chapters on coacal malformations, snorectal malformations and hirschsprung disease. In 2014 he joined the CCPR team at Nationwide Children's.  He has performed hundreds of PSARPS and pull through procedures for anorectal malformations and hirschsprung disease. Many of his surgical cases are for complex problems, such as cloacal malformations, vaginal replacement, and reoperations for ARM and hirschsprung disease. He has brought specialized techniques in minimally invasive and robotic surgery to the center’s patients. Dr. Wood currently serves as the Colorectal Clinical Director for the CCPR.

Robert P. Hoffman, MD, is a member of the Section of Endocrinology and Metabolism at Nationwide Children's Hospital and a professor of pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He received his medical degree from The Ohio State University in 1981, followed by pediatric internship and residency at Children's Hospital Medical Center of Akron, Ohio, and a pediatric endocrine fellowship at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. He is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) and ABP Sub-board of Pediatric Endocrinology. Dr. Hoffman's research interests include hypoglycemia in Type 1 Diabetes, insulin resistance, endothelial function and puberty. His teaching activities include education on Type 1 Diabetes in children and adolescents, hypoglycemia in infants and children and growth disorders, regionally and internationally. He is a member of the Nationwide Children's Hospital Thyroid Cancer Program. Administratively, he is the director for the fellowship program.

She then transitioned to her current role as one of the Therapeutic Recreation Specialist on the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation unit in 2005 where she still is currently. Sara Schroder, MD, is a staff physician in the Section of Primary Care Pediatrics at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and a clinical assistant professor of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. She provides direct patient care at the Nationwide Children's Hospital Olentangy and Linden Primary Care Centers and covers at all of the other Primary Care Centers. She also precepts medical students in the clinical setting.

In addition to her clinical work, she works with medical students at The Ohio State University. She teaches a two-year longitudinal course for first and second year medical students that covers important topics such as physical exam skills, patient interviewing skills, ethics and professionalism. Dr. Hickey is a clinical geneticist who attends Metabolic Bone Clinic and 22q Deletion Syndrome Multidisciplinary Clinic. Dr. Hickey is a past chair of the American College of Medical Genetics & Genomics Professional Practice and Guidelines Committee and is currently a member of the ACMG Evidence-Based Medicine Workgroup. He is first author of a publication on hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and bleeding and is working with the PP&G Committee to formulate recommendations for a more standardized approach to the evaluation of children with joint hypermobility.

Sean Rose, MD, is a pediatric sports neurologist and co-director of the Complex Concussion Clinic at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, and assistant professor of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University. His clinical practice focuses on concussion and other neurological conditions in athletes. He is one of only a few child neurologists in the country to have completed a fellowship in Sports Neurology. His research interests include the neurocognitive effects of sub-concussive impacts and the physiological mechanisms of concussion and post-concussion syndrome. He is board certified in neurology with special qualifications in child neurology. Among his experiences, Dr. Rose has provided sideline coverage for multiple high schools, division 1 collegiate athletics programs, and a semi-pro soccer team. He was also a consultant for the NBA’s concussion program and led a multi-year prospective outcomes study in youth football players.

Shana Moore is an experienced audiologist who works in the Audiology Department at Nationwide Children’s. She has almost 8 years of experience working at Nationwide Children's with children who have hearing loss. Her primary interests include teaching families about their child’s hearing loss and the impact rehabilitation such as cochlear implants and hearing aids plays a role in assisting their child in gaining access to spoken language. She has 3 little girls that are the center of her universe, and keep her very busy outside of work. She loves evening bike rides and swimming with her family.

Shannon Reinhart, LISW-S, received her master’s in social work from the University of Kentucky in May of 2000. She worked in several intensive outpatient programs serving youth and families in Eastern Kentucky. In 2007, she moved to Columbus where she continued to provide intensive services to youth and families with particular focus on maintaining youth in the community. Shannon has worked with the juvenile justice population for a majority of her career. She is currently Clinical Lead Supervisor of the Behavioral Juvenile Justice Program.

She has been working at Nationwide Children's Hospital for over 28 years and has spent the last 14 years helping to develop the Comprehensive Pain Services and as an advanced practice nurse. Dr. Wrona is certified in pain management nursing and recognized as advanced practice nurse in pain management nursing, She is a member of the American Pain Society, International Society for the Study of Pain, and is currently serving on the board of directors for the American Society for Pain Management Nursing. Dr. Wrona is active with the Ohio Government Cabinet Opiate Action Team on ruling out Opioid Prescribing Guidelines for Treatment of Acute Pain and co-chairing the Opioid Safety Task Force at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

Shawn Pitcher MS, RD, USAW, FMS received his bachelor’s degree in dietetics and nutrition from SUNY Buffalo State college in 2015. After which, obtained his credentials as a registered dietitian from the academy of Dietetics and nutrition. During his undergraduate, he played Dlll collegiate football at the university and did an internship at Buffalo state with the strength and conditioning staff and did 1,200 hours of experience in the clinical, community and sports nutrition setting. Post undergrad, Shawn interned at the University of Buffalo primarily working with football. He then went to Pittsburg State University where he did a graduate assistantship as strength and conditioning coach and developed their sports nutrition program. He then moved onto the University of Missouri where he interned with sports nutrition’s, primarily working with football. October 2016 Shawn joined nationwide children’s as a sports performance specialist primarily working with Grandview and New Albany’s high school, helping them improve their performance and reducing risks of injury. His passion to provide athletes with the information, knowledge and abilities to not only succeed on the weight room, but develop the life skills and characteristics to make a profound impact in the future.

Dr. Ciciora’s clinical interests involve all aspects of pediatric gastroenterology, including celiac disease, motility disorders, functional disorders and liver disease. His published research has focused on motility disorders. He has presented his work at national meetings and earned distinguished presentation honors at the American Neurogastroenterology and Motility Society’s Young Investigator Forum. His work in the community led to him being awarded the Down Syndrome Association of Central Ohio’s Commitment to Excellence Award. Dr. Colace received her medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine and completed her residency at Children's Hospital of Alabama. She attended medical school at Sri Siddhartha Medical College in Tumkur, India. She completed her post graduate training in Pediatrics at Fr. Muller's Medical College, Mangalore and worked as a pediatrician for the Ministry of health, Sultanate of Oman prior to her career in the United States. Her career in the United States started as a post-doctoral fellow in sleep medicine research at the Children's hospital of Philadelphia, University of Pennsylvania. Given her interest in translation research, Dr. Pinto pursued clinical pediatrics and completed a residency in pediatrics at the Marshfield Clinic in Wisconsin. Afterwards, she completed a fellowship in pediatric pulmonology at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburg and a fellowship in sleep medicine at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. At Nationwide Children's she is an attending in Pulmonology and sleep medicine, as well as a member of the Cystic Fibrosis Team. Her clinical interests include sleep disordered breathing in children and adolescents Her research interests include pathophysiology of obstructive sleep apnea and cardiovascular morbidity of obstructive sleep apnea in children with sickle cell disease.

Tahagod Mohamed, MD, is a pediatric nephrologist at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and an assistant professor of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Mohamed received her fellowship training at University of Virginia School of Medicine. During her fellowship she studied the factors that affect normal and abnormal kidney development. She received several awards for her research achievements from the American Society of Pediatric Nephrology and the American Heart Association.

Dr. Mohamed’s clinical interests include caring for preterm and critically ill neonates with Acute Kidney Injury (AKI). She serves as the director of Neonatal Nephrology at Nationwide Children's Hospital.

Dr. Mohamed's academic interests include studying the risk factors, the mechanisms and prevention of AKI, and the best strategies to prevent long-term kidney damage and chronic kidney disease after AKI.

Tamara earned her bachelors of Science degree in Social Work form The Ohio State University. She also has a Master’s of Science in Education degree from the University of Dayton and a Master’s of Science in Social Work from The Ohio State University. She is a licensed social worker through the State of Ohio Counselor and Social Work Board. Tamara worked as a caseworker with Franklin County Children Services prior to starting her career at Nationwide Children’s Hospital Behavioral Health in 1990. At the hospital, she served in the capacity of case manager, social worker – school based program and clinical therapist. Tamara joined The Center for Family Safety and Healing (TCFSH) in 2003. Her clinical experience as a mental health advocate and clinical supervisor/manger enabled her to understand the operations of the child assessment center. In 2016, Tamara accepted the role of Director of Program Development and Implementation.  In this role, she oversees staff members for home visitation, child assessment center, fostering connections and adult services. She also provides administrative support to behavioral health and research at TCFSH. Tamara is also responsible for various grants and programs that support the work of the organization.  Tamara also serves on various committees that focus on the prevention of family violence at the local and state level. Most recently, Tamara received the 2017 Child Advocate of the Year Award from the Ohio Chapter of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. This award recognized for her 27 years of service to Nationwide Children’s Hospital and her invaluable leadership and child advocacy provided at TCFSH for children in Ohio. Tamara is also a current board member of the Ohio Network of Children’s Advocacy Centers, which supports the establishment and success of multidisciplinary teams and child advocacy centers in Ohio. Tamara is currently involved in the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Leadership and Development Program.  She has also presented at local and state conferences on the issue of family violence. Tamara’s passion and knowledge about the issue of family violence, combined with her leadership experience working with child welfare, behavioral health and administration enables her to help families at the local and state level. Her personal desire is for a world free of family violence and each day Tamara makes a difference one person at a time.

Thomas Pommering, DO, is Division Chief for Sports Medicine and Medical Director for Nationwide Children’s Sports Medicine. He is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics and Family Medicine at The Ohio State University College of Medicine as well as, a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is fellowship trained and board certified in sports medicine, he is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine. Dr. Pommering attended medical school at the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine before completing an internship at Doctor’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, a Family Medicine Residency at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio and a Sports Medicine Fellowship at Grant Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Timothy P. Cripe is chief of the Division of Hematology/Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplantation at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Dr. Cripe is also a member of the faculty at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Before coming to Nationwide Children’s, Dr. Cripe was medical co-director in the Office for Clinical and Translational Research and is the founding director of the Comprehensive Musculoskeletal Tumor Program at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. At the University of Cincinnati, he was a professor of Pediatrics and director of Pilot and Collaborative Studies in the Center for Clinical and Translational Science and Training. His clinical interests include gene and viral therapies for solid tumors in children, including brain tumors, neuroblastoma, and bone and soft tissue sarcomas. His current research focuses on developing and testing new, targeted therapies for pediatric solid tumors and translating those findings into clinical studies. He also investigates the use of viruses that selectively infect and kill cancer cells, studies their utility for killing cancer stem cells, and was among the first in the country to launch clinical trials of attenuated viruses in children. Dr. Cripe is a magna cum laude graduate of Princeton University and completed his MD, PhD in genetics and pediatric residency training at the University of Iowa. He was a clinical fellow in pediatric hematology/oncology at the Children’s Hospital and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, and a research fellow at the Children’s Hospital and University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. Following his subspecialty training, he was an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin Children’s Hospital and Comprehensive Cancer Center in Madison and was the Pediatric Medical Director of the UW/ American Red Cross Hemophilia Treatment Center.

Tracey L. Sisk, RN, BSN, MHA, has been employed at Nationwide Children's Hospital since 1994 with extended experience in the cardiothoracic operating room. Working as both an RN circulator and RN First Assist, she has first hand knowledge of congenital heart defects, their vast variations and surgical repairs. She has been involved in research involving modification of the fontan procedure, temperature control elements within the operating room and the hybrid procedure for HLHS. She currently holds the position of nurse clinician on the adult congenital heart disease (ACHD) team. In this role, she coordinates the care of ACHD patients by arranging tests and referrals, providing discharge during clinic visits and discharge planning for hospitalized patients. In addition, she is actively involved in the Transition Program. This educational program prepares the adolescent for transition from pediatric to adult congenital heart provider.

Travis’ main duties include Functional Rehabilitation with a variety of patient types from sports medicine to healthy weight (New U) to oncology (Play Strong). Travis encourages the use of play in his efforts to improve fitness levels and deficits brought on by disease or chronic conditions. When not working, Travis will be seen playing with his family, including his wife and three children (ages 10, 8, & 3). They love going to the pool, metroparks, bike riding and Clippers games.

Tyanna Snider, PsyD, is a psychologist in the Pediatric Psychology Program at Nationwide Children's Hospital and clinical assistant professor of pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. She is the team psychologist for the Center for Healthy Weight and Nutrition including the Bariatric Surgery Program; provides consultation/liaison services for the General Medical service; and provides outpatient therapy and evaluation.. Dr. Snider’s research focuses on the treatment and psychosocial functioning of children and adolescents who are identified as overweight and obese.

Tyler Congrove, MS, AT, CSCS, is a certified athletic trainer with Nationwide Children's Sports Medicine and an assistant athletic trainer at Ohio Dominican University. Prior to joining NCH, he completed his master's degree in kinesiology with a concentration in sports medicine at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Tyler has worked in intercollegiate athletics at the division I, II, and III levels and his professional interests include shoulder rehabilitation, strength training, and manual therapy techniques. In his free time, Tyler enjoys spending time outdoors, running, and playing basketball. He has run one marathon and is a Boston Marathon qualifier.

Vanessa Shanks, MD is a neonatologist at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and Wexner Medical Center at The Ohio State University. She is also assistant professor of pediatrics for The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Shanks received her bachelor’s degree from University of Maryland, Baltimore County and her medical degree from University of Maryland College of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. She completed a combined Internal-Medicine and Pediatrics residency at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and The Ohio State University Medical Center. She completed her fellowship at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. She is married with one daughter and has a special interest in parental support.

Rama Jayanthi, MD, is Chief of the Section of Pediatric Urology at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and a clinical associate professor of surgery in the Department of Urology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and has been on the medical staff for nearly 2 decades. He is very passionate about education and often travels overseas on surgical missions, not only to help take care of children who otherwise would not get medical care but also to teach others how to perform complex reconstructive surgery. Center for Cardiovascular Research

Vidu Garg, MD is director of the Center for Cardiovascular Research and the Nationwide Foundation Endowed Chair in Cardiovascular Research at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He is a professor in the department of pediatrics and holds an adjunct appointment in the department of molecular genetics at The Ohio State University. He also serves as director of Translational Research and is a board-certified practicing pediatric cardiologist in the Heart Center at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Dr. Garg completed his pediatric residency at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in 1997 after which he spent five years at University of Texas Southwestern completing his pediatric cardiology training and a post-doctoral research fellowship in cardiac development and cardiovascular genetics. Subsequently, he joined the faculty at University of Texas Southwestern before returning to Nationwide Children’s. Dr. Garg’s research laboratory focuses on molecular pathways controlling cardiac development and the genetics of congenital heart disease.

Vidya T. Raman, MD, is a pediatric anesthesiologist at Nationwide Children's Hospital and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Raman completed a residency in pediatrics at Children's Hospital at Albany Medical Center and a residency in anesthesiology at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Raman went on to complete training in pediatric anesthesiology at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. Dr. Raman is board certified by both the American Board of Pediatrics and The American Board of Anesthesiology.

Vidya Sivaraman, MD, is a pediatric rheumatologist at Nationwide Children's Hospital and Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at The Ohio State University. She is the Associate Fellowship Director of the Rheumatology Fellowship Program and Director of Quality Improvement in Rheumatology. Her research interests include pediatric ANCA-associated vasculitis, Localized Scleroderma, and vaccination in immunocompromised children. She is a leader of the ANCA-associated Vasculitis and the Vaccination workgroups in the Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance (CARRA), an international research network for pediatric rheumatologists. She is the Medical Liaison for the Scleroderma Foundation Ohio Chapter and co-chair of the Annual NCH Rare Disease Day event.

W. Garrett Hunt, MD, is a member of the Section of Infectious Diseases at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and an associate professor of clinical pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. His clinical interests include education of medical students and residents, and the management of children and adolescents with infectious diseases, particularly tuberculosis and infections in the immunocompromised host. His research interests are primarily associated with clinical trials dealing with the treatment of neonatal herpes simplex virus and congenital cytomegalovirus. He is local principal investigator of protocols contracted with the Collaborative Antiviral Study Group sponsored by the National Institute of Allergy and Immunology.

Walter P. Samora, MD, is Director, Nationwide Children's Pediatric Orthopaedic Residency Program and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at The Ohio State University. He received his medical degree from West Virginia University School of Medicine in Morgantown, West Virginia. After residency at West Virginia University he completed a Pediatric Orthopaedic fellowship at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was recently named as one of the 2013 Emerging Leaders in Orthopaedics by the AOA. Primary clinical interests include conditions of the spine, sports related injuries and general orthopaedics. Dr. Samora is a board member of Recreation Unlimited. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Ohio Orthopaedic Society and the Columbus Orthopaedic Society.

Warren D. Lo, MD, is attending pediatric neurologist at Nationwide Children's and Clinical Professor of Pediatrics and Neurology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. His clinical and research interests center on stroke in infants and children. This emphasis led to the development of the Stroke and Vascular Anomalies Clinic at Nationwide Children's, where he serves as director. His clinical research examines the social and cognitive impairments that result from stroke, and the improvement of recovery. Dr. Lo is named among the Best Doctors in America. Together with Dr. Roach and Dr. Heyer, Dr. Lo authored the book Pediatric Stroke and Cerebrovascular Disorders.

He spends his time turning data about biology into pretty pictures and 3D prints that help biological and medical researchers understand their data and patients better. When he's not sitting at his computer making numbers dance, he can usually be found with his wife and kids trying to turn their dilapidated farm in the Hocking Hills back into a forest, restoring mechanical artifacts from the early industrial era or wandering around the American southwest with a camera, wishing they still made Kodachrome.

Dr. Long is a graduate of West Virginia University School of Medicine and completed his residency at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH, where he also served as chief resident. Dr. Long has been in practice since 1992 and is the medical director and chief medical information officer of his practice. He has led his practice through the AAP CQN Asthma Pilot Project and subsequently served as co-leader of two chapter Asthma CQN collaboratives. His practice has also participated in previous ADHD QI projects, as well as other Ohio AAP projects, such as Building Mental Wellness (BMW) and Pound of Cure.Bill also is active at Nationwide Children’s Hospital (NCH), serving as Medical Staff President in 2004, and now serves as chairperson of the CME Committee. He works two days a week as Associate Administrative Medical Director at Nationwide Children’s, where his duties include maintaining and improving relations between the hospital and community providers. He is the physician director of the NCH School-Based Asthma Therapy (SBAT) Program, which now serves nearly 200 asthma patients in five school districts.
