Sarah VerLee, PhD, is a Pediatric Psychologist and Clinical Director for Family Violence Programs at The Center for Family Safety and Healing at Nationwide Children's Hospital. Dr. VerLee is a Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. VerLee completed her graduate training in clinical psychology at Western Michigan University. She completed a residency in pediatric psychology and a postdoctoral fellowship specializing in medical trauma and pain management at Nationwide Children's Hospital.
Dr. VerLee provides consultation/liaison services to the Child Assessment Team for children presenting with injuries concerning for non-accidental trauma and their families. Dr. VerLee has held service positions at the national (Chairperson of the APA Div 54 Medical Traumatic Stress SIG, member of the American Burn Association Ethics Committee, member of the Child Clinical and Pediatric Psychology National Training Committees Guidelines Task Force and Steering Committe) and hospital/university (Chairperson of Psychology Training Directors, Director of Pediatric Psychology Fellowship) levels. Dr. VerLee participates in all levels of training as a clinical supervisor.
