Biography

Dr. Warren Lo, MD, is a clinical professor of pediatrics and neurology and is active in a number of NINDS or NICHD supported studies. His clinical research emphasis focuses upon pediatric stroke and the rehabilitation of infants who suffered perinatal arterial ischemic stroke. Dr. Lo is a multiple Principal Investigator for the I-ACQUIRE phase 3 randomized controlled trial (NCT03910075) which is supported through the NINDS StrokeNet network. This trial tests the effect of high dose motor rehabilitation in infants who suffered a perinatal arterial ischemic stroke.

The trial involves recruitment, intervention, and follow-up assessments at 15 sites in the US. The members involved have recruited all of the projected 216 subjects and anticipate that they will successfully recruit the projected total by the end of the study.

Similarly, Dr. Warren Lo was one of the two medical directors for the CHAMP trial of high intensity motor rehabilitation in children with hemiplegic cerebral palsy10.1542/peds.2020-033878, and he was the Nationwide Children's Hospital site PI for the VIPS and VIPSII observational studies of pediatric stroke.(10.1212/WNL.0000000000005946)
