Parents and Caregivers of Children With Autism Needed for Focus Group on Collaborative Video Game

What Is the Purpose of This Study?

To gain information and feedback about the design of a wearable device used for a collaborative video game created for children with autism and their peers.

Who Can Take Part in This Study?

Parents and caregivers of children with autism between the ages of 5 and 12.

What Will Happen During This Study?

  • Parents or caregivers will participate in a one-hour focus group at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
  • Researchers will demonstrate a wearable device (similar to a smart watch worn on the wrist) that controls an interactive video game for children with autism. The devices use Bluetooth to control a collaborative game on an iPad.
  • Parents or caregivers will see the technology, interact with the video games and provide feedback to the research team.

Will We Be Paid for This Study?

No, participants will not be compensated for their time.
