Phase: Recruiting
First Posted: March
What Is the Purpose of This Study?
We’re looking for healthy children from newborns to 18 years old to help us understand immune disorders. We’ll compare healthy children and teens to children and teens with immunodeficiencies.
Who Can Take Part in This Study?
Your child may be eligible if your child:
- Is a newborn to 18 years of age
- Is healthy with no significant medical diagnoses, particularly immune-related diagnoses (check with us to see if unsure)
- Has no other chronic medical conditions that can affect results of immunological studies (check with us to see if unsure)
- Is not on any medication known to alter immune status or function (check with us to see if unsure)
- Has not undergone recent surgery, chemotherapy, radiation or transplantation
- Has had no infections within the last 2 months
What Will Happen During This Study?
Volunteers will visit Nationwide Children’s Hospital for a blood draw once every three months. Your child’s participation in this study would be for an indefinite period of time unless you voluntarily withdraw or have medical changes that would exclude your child from this study. Visits will be at the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Outpatient Care Center at 555 South 18th Street, Columbus, OH 43205. Parking is available and will be validated.
Will We Be Paid for This Study?
Yes. Your child will be compensated for each blood draw.
