Starzl Network for Excellence in Pediatric Transplantation: SNEPT Umbrella Protocol
Phase: Recruiting
First Posted: October
Condition(s): Liver transplant
What Is the Purpose of This Study?
Prospective registry to compile data with the goal to improve quality and outcomes in pediatric transplantation by establishing a collaborative network of research hospitals. Patients are followed both pre and post-transplant. The study is observational only and does not request change to standard of care.
Who Can Take Part in This Study?
People who may be eligible are:
- Patients listed for or who have received a liver transplant and are receiving care at a participating Starzl Network for Excellence in Pediatric (SNEPT) center.
- Up to 25 years of age.
What Will Happen During This Study?
During the study, information from participants’ regular medical care, such as health information, test results, treatments, and medical reports, will be collected in the SNEPT registry. Participants and/or their caregivers may also be asked to complete surveys about overall health and quality of life at different times. Information collected through SNEPT will help researchers learn more about transplant care and identify ways to improve care and outcomes. Follow-up surveys may continue if a participant moves to another transplant center or transitions to adult care
