What Is the Purpose of This Study?

The purpose of this study is to help researchers create a visual tool to better communicate the risk factors for cardiovascular disease in Black parents and their children.

Who Can Take Part in This Study?

You are eligible to participate if:

  • You are the parent or primary caregiver of a school-age child ages 6 to 11 years.
  • Self-identify or are identified as Black/African American (or have African ancestry)
  • Can speak and read English at 6th grade level or higher

What Will Happen During This Study?

  • Participants will attend a focus group session lasting around 90 minutes.
  • Participants can also complete surveys that will take 20-30 minutes.

Will We Be Paid for This Study?

Yes, you will be compensated for your time. Food and child care may be available as well. Please ask the study team for more information.
