Lin Sun, PhD, MA
Postdoctoral Scientist
Lin.Sun@NationwideChildrens.org
Lin Sun is a Postdoctoral Scientist in the area of neurodevelopmental disorders and autism at the Center for Biobehavioral Health, Abigail Wexner Research Institute, Nationwide Children's Hospital. He is also a Fellow in the Patient-Centered Pediatric Research Program.
Growing up with a childhood-onset fluency disorder (a neurodevelopmental disorder under DSM-V), he struggled with expressive communication. Personal experiences with speech therapies prompted him to pursue a career related to neurodevelopmental conditions among pediatric populations. Sun’s research interests center around autism early intervention, evidence-based practices, family support, and technology-aided interventions. He obtained a B.A. and M.A. in Early Childhood Education and subsequently worked at a Polytechnic High School before starting his doctoral studies in special education. At Nationwide Children’s, Sun expects to expand his research in the areas of family preferences for intervention programming and decision-making on intervention choices for children with autism and other neurodevelopmental needs.
