What Is the Purpose of this Study?

STAR is a 15-week adult-child home reading program designed to improve children's early literacy skills.

Who Can Take Part in This Study?

Parents and caregivers of children ages 4-6 who receive speech-language therapy at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Children must have a diagnosed language disorder.

What Will Happen During This Study?

Caregivers will receive 1 storybook per week for 15 weeks and read the book to their child 4 times during the week. Caregivers will keep a log of their reading and record themselves reading with their child.

Will We Be Paid for This Study?

Yes, participants will be compensated for their time.
