Center for Surgical Outcomes Research (CSOR)
The Center for Surgical Outcomes Research (CSOR) is a national leader in clinical and health services research related to the surgical care of children. CSOR provides a comprehensive research program that employs a wide range of methodologies to perform rigorous clinical and health services research. CSOR consists of a multidisciplinary team of surgeons, biostatisticians, epidemiologists, research staff, and research trainees working together to improve the delivery and outcomes of surgical care for children.
Goals
The goals of CSOR are to:
- Improve the surgical care of infants, children, and adolescents through high-quality research
- Provide mentorship and resources for students, residents, and research fellows interested in pediatric research careers
- Provide guidance, support, and analytic assistance to surgical faculty for research studies and grant applications
- Encourage a multi-disciplinary and multi-institutional collaborative approach to research
