Emily Moscato, PhD, is a principal investigator in the Center for Biobehavioral Health and assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University. Dr. Moscato earned her master’s degree and doctorate in clinical psychology in 2022 at the University of Cincinnati. She completed her pre-doctoral residency training in pediatric psychology at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and her postdoctoral fellowship at Nationwide Children's Hospital. Her research is focused on designing, testing and implementing equitable behavioral interventions to improve quality of life and neurodevelopmental outcomes for young neurodiverse pediatric populations.

Katy Kerby graduated from Loyola University of Chicago in December 2017 with a bachelor's degree in psychology and a minor in neuroscience. Following graduation, Katy gained five and a half years of research experience working in oncology clinical trials at Northwestern University’s Comprehensive Cancer Center. In her time at Northwestern, Katy also earned her master's degree in public health from the Feinberg School of Medicine in June 2023. Her practicum work while earning her degree focused on increasing diversity in research participation and advancing health equity in clinical trials. Katy has been with the Center for Biobehavioral Health since July 2023 is also a member of the Gerhardt Lab.

Kate Kaufman earned her bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Virginia in 2023. While at UVA, Kate had the opportunity to work in several psychology labs but grew particularly involved in autism research, investigating alternative communication for nonspeaking autistic people. Through this research, Kate developed an interest in disability, how disability affects communication and inclusion. Kate hopes to continue exploring these topics and to use participatory, strengths-based research methods to help children and their families thrive after cancer treatment. Ultimately, Kate hopes to obtain a doctorate in clinical psychology. Kate has been with the Center for Biobehavioral Health since July 2023 is also a member of the Gerhardt Lab.

Morgan Sachleben graduated from The Catholic University of America in 2024 with a bachelor of science in psychological and brain sciences. During her undergraduate career, Morgan had the opportunity to work in multiple psychology labs, where she developed a broad interest in child and family psychosocial outcomes among youth with chronic medical conditions. Morgan hopes to further expand her interests and skills to obtain a doctorate in clinical psychology with a focus in pediatric psychology. Morgan has been with the Center for Biobehavioral Health since July 2024 is also a member of the Gerhardt Lab.
