Support Team and Additional Services

We understand that this can be a difficult time and are here to support you. Our fetal medicine nurse coordinator is available to you to call with questions and concerns. She may also coordinate your appointments at Nationwide Children’s so you will visit all necessary specialists in one day. To help prepare you for the birth and care of your baby, the nurse coordinator may arrange a tour of our Cardiac Intensive Care Unit before your baby’s birth. We will also make sure you go home with literature and educational resources to help you understand your care and your baby’s diagnosis.

A family support coordinator is available to provide emotional, and spiritual support to you before and after your baby’s birth. Additional support such as social work, psychology, interpreter services and accommodations for families that live outside of Franklin County are available. Please speak with the fetal medicine nurse coordinator about these services and any additional support you need.
