Find a Respiratory Therapy School
Nationwide Children's Hospital hires candidates who have graduated from an accredited school with state board approval.
The Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) is the organization responsible for the accreditation of respiratory therapy educational programs. To access a current list of accredited respiratory therapist programs, go to the CoARC website. There you can search for programs by name, state, degree, or category. You can also compare programs.

- American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC): A national and international professional association for respiratory therapists, students, and anyone working in a field related to respiratory therapy.
- The National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC): A non-profit organization formed in 1960 with the purpose of awarding and maintaining credentialing for Respiratory Therapists in the United States.
- Ohio Society for Respiratory Care (OSRC): A non-profit professional association that is a chartered affiliate of the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC). They advise and promote the education, licensure, safety and quality of Respiratory Care services, issues and diseases.

Respiratory Therapy Scholarships
- Nationwide Children’s Hospital Respiratory Care Scholarship: Nationwide Children’s Hospital offers three $4,000 scholarships to provide support to respiratory therapy students who have a strong desire to provide care in a pediatric setting. The deadline to apply is May 19, 2023.
- The American Respiratory Care Foundation (ARCF) offers three scholarships for undergraduate students enrolled in an accredited respiratory care education program, along with another two for current respiratory therapists who hold a bachelor’s degree and are seeking an advanced degree.
