The Chisolm Lab is focused on studying health equity at the intersection of communities, health systems, and health policies. Using a combination of health services research, social epidemiology and data science, the Lab studies outcomes in maternal and child health, behavioral health and chronic disease.

Current Projects Overviews

Targeted Investment - Meaningful Engagement (TIME)

This NICHD funded study seeks to richly describe the history of structural discrimination and racism in the Linden neighborhood and to study whether integrating that knowledge into community development initiatives can create intentionally reparative community improvements.

Integrated Care for Kids Nationwide (InCK)

Nationwide Children’s Hospital and nearly 50 community organizations are leading a $14.5 million initiative to improve the health and well-being of Licking County and Muskingum County children – especially those at increased risk of hospitalization or being placed outside the home. Trial of Nurse Family Partnership Home Visiting for Multiparous

Nurse Family Partnership (NFP) is a leading, evidence-based intervention to improve health and life-course outcomes for first-time parents and their children who face adversity such as poverty and structural inequality. This NINR funded trial studies an adapted program for multiparous women and their families to determine its effectiveness for improving pregnancy, parenting, and child development outcomes.
