Ruiqi Cen, PhD, MPH, is a research scientist in the Center for Surgical Outcomes Research. She earned her doctorate in epidemiology from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, her master of public health in epidemiology from Tulane University, and her bachelor's of medicine in preventive medicine from Capital Medical University. Her research focuses on health outcomes following surgical interventions and factors that influence disease risk in pediatric populations. Additionally, she has a strong interest in designing observational studies and clinical trials, with an emphasis on bias assessment and adjustment, as well as quantitative and qualitative data analysis.

Yueran is a biostatistician in the Center for Surgical Outcomes Research. Yueran is an alumnus of Columbia Mailman School of Public Health with a master of science in epidemiology. Yueran provides biostatistical consultation to researchers, specializing in advanced data wrangling, statistical modeling, and dynamic data visualization.

Kyle is a senior research associate in the Center for Surgical Outcomes Research. He graduated from Miami University with a bachelor's degree and received his master's of public health from The Ohio State University in 2016. Kyle has experience in project management, study design, data collection and reporting, abstract and manuscript preparation, subject enrollment, and general research operations. His primary interests include investigating and reporting on disparities in health care through evidence-based research with the ultimate goal of improving health outcomes. Kyle is passionate about continuing to perform valid, rigorous, and quality research across many surgical specialties in close collaboration with colleagues on the journey to create the best outcomes for children everywhere.

Shachi is a general surgery resident at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, aspiring to specialize in pediatric surgery. As the Center for Surgical Outcomes Research surgical oncology research fellow, her work focuses on improving outcomes in pediatric surgical oncology. She earned her medical degree with distinction in research from Albany Medical College and holds an master of public health from The Ohio State University.

Megan is the Center for Colorectal and Pelvic Reconstruction (CCPR) research fellow in the Center for Surgical Outcomes Research. She received her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. She is currently a general surgery resident at University of Texas HSC San Antonio, where she has completed her first two years of clinical residency. She plans to pursue a career in pediatric surgery after residency.
