Protocol Development

• Offers expert advice on procurement, handling/processing, and shipment of biospecimens for banking and downstream research.
• Assists with defining biospecimen requirements in protocols or operations manuals to ensure appropriate high quality samples are acquired in support of research aims and correlative studies.
• Works with the study team throughout the lifecycle of a protocol to ensure all protocol language, specimen transmittal forms, and other related documents are clear, concise, and consistent.

Biospecimen Kits

• Kits are customized for each trial and biospecimen collection.
• Collection supplies and/or shipping materials by the BPC and distributed to participating sites.
• Sites can order kits using the Kit Management System website.

Informatics

• Laboratory information management system
  • Laboratory information management system that facilitates best practices related to biospecimen management and distribution.
  • Captures the “biospecimen life cycle” including:
    • Accessioning
    • Processing
    • Extractions
    • Banking/storage
    • Distribution
    • Reporting/Auditing
