Kloczkowski Lab
The Kloczkowski Lab specializes in computational biology and structural bioinformatics. The lab employs computational medicine, theoretical physics and advanced modeling to study biological structures and systems.
Their primary areas of focus include:
- Protein Structure & Dynamics: Developing algorithms and mathematical models (such as lattice models and distance matrices) to predict protein folding, collective structure dynamics and conformational changes.
- Bioinformatics Predictions: Building tools to predict protein functions, identify specific binding sites and predict the effects of genomic mutations.
- Systems Biology: Studying biological systems at multiple integrated levels to understand molecular interactions.
- Drug Repositioning & Therapeutics: Utilizing integrated deep-learning models combined with traditional screening pipelines to identify novel inhibitors and reposition FDA-approved drugs for new therapeutic applications.
