Homecare Infusion Pharmacy Update
Nationwide Children’s Homecare Infusion Pharmacy provides specialized injectable and infusion medications to support pediatric patients and families across Ohio. The skilled pharmacy and nursing teams collaborate to deliver safe infusion care in central and northwest regions. The team offers medication and infusion instructions in the home and empowers patients who safely self-administer treatments.
Indications Homecare treats include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
- Beta thalassemia
- Chemotherapy-induced neutropenia
- Crohn’s disease
- Diabetes insipidus
- Duchenne muscular dystrophy
- Hemophilia and other bleeding disorders
- Hypophosphatemia – X-linked
- Inflammatory bowel disease
- Intestinal rehab patients
- Osteoporosis
- Pediatric atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome (aHUS)
- Pediatric paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH)
- Short bowel or gut
- Ulcerative colitis
