Homecare Toledo Update
In February 2024, Nationwide Children's Homecare began caring for pediatric patients in the Toledo area. Since then, Homecare's monthly visit average in the Toledo area has gone from approximately 150 visits each month to an average of 700 visits per month. The Homecare office in Maumee has nursing and therapy staff who provide pediatric patients with Intermittent Skilled Nursing (ISN) care and Therapy Services (OT, PT and Speech) in the comfort of their own homes. In addition, Home Medical Equipment services, available in all 88 counties, deliver medical equipment and supplies, and the pharmacy provides services on a case-by-case basis.
ISN and Therapy Services have added counties to their service areas in central Ohio. In addition to its core nine counties, ISN accepts referrals for patients in Knox, Muskingum, Perry and Hocking counties. Therapy Services added two more counties in central Ohio and now sees patients in Licking and Fairfield counties. To see the map, visit our website.
Referrals for Homecare services in the Toledo area follow the same process as Homecare referrals for patients in central Ohio. For questions, providers can call (614) 355-1100 or (800) 466-2727, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding national holidays. Referral forms and other resources are available at online.
