Adolescent Neurologic and Adaptive Physical Therapy

We specialize in neurological and adaptive physical training and rehabilitation for adolescent patients.

Our physical therapists specialize in the following areas:

  • Acquired neurologic diagnoses (traumatic brain injury, concussion, stroke, brain surgery, spinal cord injury, conversion disorder)
  • Congenital neuromuscular diagnoses

Our therapists also treat patients who have had orthopedic surgeries, patients with coordination and gross motor impairments, adaptive sports athletes, and patients with limb deficiencies.

What to Expect

  • Treatment duration and frequency are highly variable and will be determined depending on your child’s needs at your initial physical therapy evaluation.
  • Your first session will consist of an evaluation where we will get to know you, your child and your goals and complete a thorough evaluation of their mobility, strength, flexibility and balance.
  • Therapy treatment sessions will consist of transfer training, gait training, balance activities, strengthening and flexibility exercises.
  • Our physical therapists aim to help children enjoy life by reaching their highest level of independence and restore function after neurologic injuries or orthopedic surgeries.
