Strong Today And Ready Tomorrow (START) Program

Do you want to be active, but don’t know where to start? Are you intimidated by stepping foot into a gym? Do you participate in sports, but only a few months out of the year? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then START may just be the program for you!

Welcome to Strong Today And Ready Tomorrow (START)! This program utilizes a hands-on approach to educate teenagers on proper exercise performance to live healthier lifestyles. Each participant will sign up for 1 session per week for 8 weeks (8 sessions total) with a different topic per week. Each session will be performed in a small group setting lead by a Physical Therapist with a maximum of 5 participants in order to maximize one-on-one time.

Program Details

Who: Teenagers (14-18 years old)

What: Eight 1-hour exercise classes with diverse topics

Where: Philip Heit Center for Healthy New Albany

When: Wednesdays, 3:30 - 4:30 p.m.
