Help Patient Families Keep Their Medicaid Coverage
Changes to Medicaid eligibility and re-enrollment are coming in 2027. Providers play a key role in helping families enroll in Medicaid and keep their coverage. Encourage families enrolled in Buckeye Health Plan, CareSource, Molina Healthcare, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Humana Health Horizons, AmeriHealth Caritas or UnitedHealthcare Community Plan to make sure their contact information is up to date.
Families can update their information by:
- Visiting benefits.ohio.gov to log in or create an account.
- Calling (800) 324-8680.
- Visiting their local Job and Family Services office.
Once their contact information is updated, remind families to watch for mail from their county Job and Family Services office. They may need to complete forms by the deadline to keep their health insurance. A simple reminder can help families stay connected to the care and services they need.
Free Mental Health Resource Guides for Your Practice
When a parent notice changes in their child or have concerns about attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety or depression, they often turn to their provider first. To support those conversations, the Kids Mental Health Foundation is offering free Primary Care Guides focused on ADHD, anxiety and depression.
Developed by pediatric psychology experts, these practical resources help providers support early identification, facilitate meaningful conversations and connect children and families with appropriate care. Providers can download digital copies or order up to 50 printed copies of each guide. Printed guides will be mailed directly to the practice.
