Support School Readiness During Literacy Month
August is Literacy Month, a timely reminder of the important role early reading plays in preparing children for kindergarten and lifelong learning. Reading with young children not only strengthens language and attention skills but also builds meaningful parent-child connections. Through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, families can receive free, age-appropriate books by mail each month until their child turns 5. Celebrate Literacy Month by sharing this resource with your patient families: NationwideChildrens.org/ImaginationLibrary.
