The Memorial Tournament presented by Nationwide is an elite, professional golf event, founded and hosted annually at the storied Muirfield Village Golf Club by Columbus native Jack Nicklaus and the Nicklaus family.The Tournament and Nationwide Children's Hospital have a long partnership, dating back to the inception of the tournament in 1976. The Memorial Tournament regularly attracts an outstanding global field, recognizes those who have distinguished themselves and contributed significantly to the sport. At the same time, the Tournament ensures any deserving charities are recognized and supported to help those in need. Nationwide began its presenting sponsorship of the Memorial Tournament in 2011 which bolstered the Tournament's impact to charity, namely Nationwide Children’s Hospital through an alliance with the Nicklaus Children’s Health Care Foundation established in 2010.

The Memorial Tournament: shining a spotlight on Nationwide Children's Hospital 

Since 1976, the Memorial Tournament has raised over $12.7 million for Nationwide Children's Hospital. Each year, eight Patient Champions are invited to a full morning of VIP Tournament experiences. Together these Patient Champions represent the more than 1.2 million patient visits to our hospital every year.
