A gift of toys, games or activity supplies can make a big difference to children and families spending time in the hospital. Here you will find some of the most-needed items.
Please bring donations to the Information Desk at the hospital, located at 630 Children's Drive, Columbus, Ohio 43205. (Map it here)
Donations can be brought to the information desk during the following times:
- 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday
- 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Fridays
Please fill out a donation slip (available at the information desk) when you bring your donation.

Holiday Toy Donations
Each year around the holidays, Nationwide Children’s receives countless phone calls and emails from the community asking about donating toys to our patients. We will collect toys starting at our annual Toy Drive on Saturday, December 7, 2019 through Friday, December 20, 2019, at 12 pm.

Holiday Toy and Donation Drop Off Instructions
Can't make it to our Toy Drive on December 7? We would still love to accept your donation to help children and families staying in the hospital over the holiday season.
Donations Can Be Received:
- 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday - Thursday
- 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Friday
- Follow the signage to the toy drop-off area at 555 South 18th Street (map it)
- Donations must be received no later than December 20 at 12 noon.
- We cannot accept donations December 21, 2019 – January 2, 2020
Toy Donations in Large Quantities (10 Boxes or More)
If you are unable to come to the December 7th Toy Drive and are bringing a large donation (approximately 10 boxes or more), please call (614) 722-3635 in advance to notify us of your drop off day and time. If you are planning to bring your toys between 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. on December 7th, you do not need to call in advance.
Please note that due to infection control and privacy issues, we do not have opportunities for donors to personally distribute donations to patient and families.
Restrictions and Special Notes
Due to infection control and allergies, we CANNOT accept used toys of any kind. This includes stuffed animals that have not been played with but have been on display or shelves in a home (Example: Beanie Baby collections).
We CAN accept newly purchased stuffed animals with tags still attached.
Please do not include food items (snacks/candy) in activity bags or patient gifts.
We are unable to use VHS tapes.
We need to see all items before they are distributed, so please do not wrap gifts for children.
Please make sure you check all hand sewn items to remove any needles or pins you may have used during construction.
We cannot accept donations of toys with weapons or violent themes such as guns, knives, swords, or other projectiles. This includes guns with styrofoam or plastic bullets.
Avoid items that are latex, such as balloons, erasers, some balls, rubber bands, etc. They are dangerous to those with latex allergies.
Due to our multicultural population, items that do not include religious messages or themes are most easily distributed.
Out of sensitivity to patients and families please avoid including personal information on or with donated items. This includes, tribute messages such as “in memory or honor of”, or business information. It is acceptable to include a website of an organization should families want to learn more.
PLEASE NOTE: For the safety and privacy of our patients and donors, we do not allow donors to directly deliver gifts to patients and families.
