This in-person conference will highlight dynamic speakers on topics such as sleep equity, substance misuse, mental health in school-aged children and more. Participants will have access to hands-on skills sessions in the simulation center. 10th Annual Pediatric Update for Advanced Practice Providers 

January 31, 2025

The Annual Pediatric Update for Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) is the continuing education conference hosted by the Nationwide Children's APP Council. A variety of topics will be covered that will provide all APPs with information that can improve their care of pediatric patients. Additionally, there will be opportunities for networking and gathering with other nurse practitioners and physician assistants.

Kidney and Urinary Tract Symposium: State-of-the-Art in Pediatric UTI 

February 20-21, 2025 

The symposium provides a high-level summary of the latest in pediatric urinary tract infection (UTI) mechanisms and management. Experts will highlight knowledge gaps, research recommendations, host-pathogen interactions, host defense mechanisms, urologic evaluations, antibiotic prophylaxis and the impact of recurrent UTIs on the kidney. Discussions will also gather patient and caregiver perspectives to identify future research priorities for improving care for children with UTIs.

2025 Medical Leadership Program    

The Medical Leadership Program (MLP) is a 12-month leadership program that consists of two monthly in-person sessions of 60 minutes each and includes quarterly peer coaching sessions with an assigned coach. Prior to each class, participants will complete short online assignments to prepare them for each interactive, experiential session.

Program goals:

  • Develop early and mid-career physicians (approximately 5 to 8 years in practice) with demonstrated leadership strengths, identified by their leader as high potential
  • Cultivate leaders to effectively navigate challenges and opportunities while building and supporting Nationwide Children’s culture and values
  • Develop leadership competencies for future career advancement within the organization
  • Engage participants with a physician mentor and peer coach to provide guidance and support
  • Prepare physician leaders with leadership competencies to be successful in future leadership roles (e.g., Medical Director, Section Chief)

Revolutionizing Pediatric Care: Join Project ECHO’s New Series in 2025

Project ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) is launching a new series lineup for the first quarter of 2025, focusing on innovative pediatric care. This tele-mentoring program connects experts and community providers through videoconferencing, short presentations and case-based learning.
