Craniofacial Family Retreat

Do you know a patient with craniofacial differences? Facial differences caused by injury or genetic condition can impact a child’s physical, social and emotional development and often require surgery. The Center for Complex Craniofacial Disorders at Nationwide Children’s offers a compassionate approach to care.

The Craniofacial Family Retreat on June 22 is an opportunity to educate parents, caregivers and your patients. Guests will get to participate in live chat rooms with national experts, which allow for roundtable discussions. If your patient families choose to arrive on June 21 and stay overnight, they can join other families at the Spaghetti Warehouse between 5:30-8 p.m.

Visit the Craniofacial Family Retreat webpage for more information and to register.

Project ECHO

Project ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) is a collaborative and innovative tele-mentoring program designed to create virtual communities of practice by bringing together subject matter experts and community providers. This guided-practice model uses videoconferencing technology, brief didactic presentations, and case-based learning to create an “all teach, all learn” environment, where best practices are shared to reduce health disparities, improve patient outcomes in underserved areas and provide specialty care to patients in their own communities.
