Physician Recognition

Medical staff leadership would like to acknowledge physicians for recently receiving positive comments from patients and families. These comments are only a brief sample of the many compliments our physicians receive regularly.

Jessica Bowman, MD, Pediatrics
“We absolutely love Dr. Bowman and trust she will make the best decisions. I love the fact that I feel comfortable asking Dr. Bowman anything and everything, knowing I'll get an honest answer from her. We never feel rushed with her and truly feel she takes her time when we see her and really knows my kids.”

Richard Gilchrist, MD,Psychiatry and Behavioral Health
“Dr. Gilchrist was amazing with my daughter! My daughter received outstanding care. The entire hospital was very informative, helpful, compassionate, empathetic and understanding! I'm so incredibly pleased with the outcome of my daughters stay. They saved her life and changed the way she looks at her mental health condition.”

Michelle Gillespie, MD, Pediatric Pulmonary Fellow
“I have been so impressed by Dr. Gillespie since she began following our daughter's care in the hospital last month. At this appointment, she was very attentive and spent so much time thoroughly explaining everything and listening to all my questions and concerns. The appointment was not rushed, and everything I wanted to discuss was addressed!”

Jonathan Gisser, MD, Pediatrics
“Dr. Gisser did a fantastic job explaining my son's findings. He walked me through his chart page by page and then went over options for follow up in detail with me. He even went so far as to look up the most recent research and walk me through it keeping my son's situation in mind. I am a nurse, and it means so much to know that my son is in competent, well-informed care. I would recommend Dr. Gisser to anyone who needed to see a GI specialist.”

Thomas Pommering, DO, Pediatrics
“My 12-year-old daughter had a lot of concussion symptoms on top of her broken arm and nose, but ortho gave her the best care for her whole self - not just her arm. This made a significant difference in mental and physical recovery.”

Amanda Way, MD, Ophthalmology
“Dr. Way is great! She even allowed my 5-year-old son to ask questions as he was very concerned about his sister! We felt that was going the extra mile!"
