Homecare Update

(From the March 2026 issue of MedStat)

Nationwide Children’s Homecare is now a WIC provider

The Home Medical Equipment (HME) department at Nationwide Children’s Homecare is the newest provider of specialty formulas to Franklin County’s WIC-eligible families. WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) is a program that supplies food and specialty formulas to income-eligible families with children under the age of 5.

WIC families are required to physically present their card to a WIC provider to obtain their benefits. To accommodate this, there are now drive-up spots in the Homecare office parking lot. Families will park in a designated spot, call the phone number listed on the sign and then an employee will meet them at their vehicle to provide their formula.

Homecare and HME are proud and excited to begin offering this new service. For more information, visit NationwideChildrens.org/Homecare. If you have any questions regarding WIC or any Homecare service, email Meghan.Mertz@NationwideChildrens.org.
