ECHO RUBI (Research Units in Behavioral Intervention) improves clinicians’ comfort and knowledge with a manualized parent-training program, shown to be effective for children and adolescents with autism and other disabilities.
ECHO RUBI is a therapy-based program designed to reduce disruptive behavior and improve adaptive behavior in children. It offers an excellent opportunity to improve and advance your clinical skills to better serve families with children with autism and other developmental disabilities.
Participants in ECHO RUBI will collaborate with specialists in a case-based learning environment to develop advanced clinical skills and best practices.
“I think at the heart of the whole concept of ECHO is the opportunity to battle against health inequities and ultimately make all people healthier.”
Eric M. Butter, PhD, Chief of Psychology, Director of Behavioral Health, Founder of Project ECHO at Nationwide Children’s Hospital
Series Options
We offer two series options for participants:
- RUBI: This learning opportunity is tailored for behavioral treatment specialists who work directly with children and adolescents with autism and other developmental disabilities. The focus is on deepening their understanding and application of the RUBI program to enhance their clinical practice.
- RUBI Integrated Care: This learning opportunity is designed for behavioral health providers working in integrated or consultative settings, such as primary care. The goal is to adapt the RUBI program for use in brief consultations and short-term treatment contexts, making it accessible and practical for a wider range of health care settings. RUBI series is not required to participate in the RUBI Integrated Care series.
