Critical Moments: Pediatric Trauma Program 2017 Report

The pediatric trauma experts at Nationwide Children’s are involved in all aspects of care, including prehospital, emergency department, critical care, inpatient care, operative management, rehabilitation and outpatient care. Our multidisciplinary approach allows us to provide trauma patients with exceptional care and serves as a resource for injury prevention and education for central Ohio and beyond.

Our program is supported by a wide-range of pediatric surgical sub-specialists including; critical care, orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, plastic surgery, anesthesia, emergency medicine and pediatric trauma surgery. Our patients also benefit from outstanding support services with 24-hour in-house radiology coverage, state-of-the-art rehabilitation facilities and a comprehensive, Pediatric Burn Program verified by the American Burn Association, and a Trauma Program verified by the American College of Surgeons.
