Our pediatric psychologists and neuropsychologists act as integral team members with the following medical teams at Nationwide Children's Hospital:

The team neuropsychologist consults with the center to determine which children may benefit from services to promote educational functioning, coping and adjustment, and overall quality of life.

Bariatric Surgery Clinic

The pediatric psychologist provides comprehensive evaluation prior to surgery as well as meets with patients at their clinic visits to provide psychological support before and after surgery. Interventions mainly address coping/adjustment, regimen adherence, and motivation/barriers to behavior change.

Bowel Management Clinic (BMC)

The clinic is staffed by a pediatric GI nurse practitioner and psychology.  The clinic is considered an evaluation and treatment program, so each patient is seen by both disciplines at every visit so that medications and behavioral plans can be adjusted as needed, and treatment progress monitored over time.

Burn Clinic

Burn Clinic is a multidisciplinary clinic that addresses issues related to wound healing, mobility, and psychological adjustment. In the clinic setting, psychology provides interventions to minimize procedural distress, assessment of trauma symptoms, and recommendations to improve behavioral adjustment.
