The Burn Center team offers events throughout the year to support, educate, and celebrate patients and their families. Below is a calendar of events throughout 2025. Healthy Healing Burn Camp: A Year-Round Supportive Journey for Burn Survivors

Healthy Healing Burn Camp is a unique and empowering initiative that offers year-round support for burn survivors of all ages. Through a variety of events designed for different age groups, the camp fosters healing, connection, and growth, ensuring that everyone, from toddlers to teens, feels supported on their journey to recovery.

Survivor Swim Party

All ages
Saturday, September 20 | 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Bust out the swimsuits for our annual halfway to summer swim event! The Burn Survivor Swim Party is a fun, supportive gathering for burn survivors of all ages to enjoy the water and celebrate their healing journeys. It is a unique, empowering gathering designed to create a safe space for burn survivors to share their experiences and embrace their scars in a supportive environment. This event invites survivors of all ages to come together in the water, where they can connect with others who understand the physical and emotional journey of healing. With a focus on comfort and inclusivity, the event provides a positive environment where everyone can feel empowered and supported while having fun, a little relaxation, and finding community. Whether you're there to float, swim, or just soak in the atmosphere, the Burn Survivor Swim Party is all about celebrating strength and resilience in the water.

The Burn Survivor Toddler Play Group and Parent Support Group is a friendly, supportive space for parents and their little ones. Whether your child is recovering from a burn injury or facing ongoing treatment, you will find a group of caregivers who understand the unique challenges, emotional struggles, and triumphs involved in supporting your child's healing process. This group is all about creating a relaxed environment where parents can connect, share stories, and pick up tips from others who truly understand what they’re going through. While parents chat and support each other, the kids get to enjoy a fun play group with activities that help them build confidence and socialize. It’s a great way for everyone to feel supported, learn a few new things, and, most importantly, know that they’re not alone on this journey. Parents can connect over shared experiences, while kids get to have fun in a safe and caring setting.

Teen Adventure Day

Burn Survivor Teen Adventure Day is an exciting, action-packed event designed for teens who have experienced burn injuries. This day is all about embracing adventure, building confidence, and having fun in a supportive and understanding environment. Teens will have the chance to participate in outdoor activities like hiking, zip-lining, rock climbing, or team-building challenges, all while connecting with others who have had similar experiences. It’s a chance to push personal limits, try something new, and bond with fellow survivors in a relaxed and empowering setting. Whether it’s conquering a fear, making new friends, or just having a blast, Burn Survivor Teen Adventure Day is all about celebrating strength, resilience, and the joy of being a teen.

The Burn Survivor Back to School Event is a special gathering designed for kids, teens, and their families to kick off the school year with confidence and support. Whether you’re heading back to class or getting ready for your first day, this event provides a welcoming space to meet others, share experiences, and find encouragement. There will be fun activities that help you feel strong, confident, and ready for the year ahead!
