The Environmental influences on Child Health Outcomes (ECHO) Program
Welcome to the Environmental influences on Child Health Outcomes (ECHO) Study! Thank you for being part of our research community. The goal of ECHO is to understand the effects of a broad range of early environmental influences on child health and development.
For Participants
As part of the ECHO study, you’ll have study visits during pregnancy and as your child grows. These visits help us learn how experiences before and after birth shape children’s health and development.

Our ECHO Ohio site is committed to supporting families, both during and between study visits. We encourage participants to explore local programs, educational opportunities, safety resources, and family activities available throughout central Ohio.
About ECHO Ohio
Our ECHO Ohio site is collaboration between The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Nationwide Children’s and is part of the larger, nationwide ECHO Program to learn more about what influences your children’s health after birth and as they grow.
2026-2027 Resident Composite
The residency team includes trainees from both the General Pediatrics and Internal Medicine–Pediatrics programs. The General Pediatrics residency offers focused training opportunities in child neurology, pediatric research, primary care, and genetics.
