About ECHO Ohio
Our ECHO Ohio site is collaboration between The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Nationwide Children’s and is part of the larger, nationwide ECHO Program to learn more about what influences your children’s health after birth and as they grow. Every survey completed, biospecimen sample collected, and study visit attended contributes to a better understanding of children's health.
Our central Ohio team plans to enroll more than 1,000 pregnant participants by 2030. We will follow participants over time to learn more about what influences children’s health after birth and as they grow.
Who We Are
Our team is made up of a diverse group of professionals. Our investigators include physicians and scientists with expertise in fetal medicine, neonatology, public health and epidemiology. Our research team brings a wide range of experience working with families and children in many settings. Our team is dedicated to improving the health of the families we serve.
What We Do
ECHO aims to enhance the health of children and adolescents through research that may help inform health care practices, programs, and policies.
At ECHO Ohio, we collect information through surveys, study visits, and biospecimen samples. This information helps us understand how environmental, social, and biological factors may affect children’s health and development.
Every family who takes part in ECHO Ohio helps contribute to a better understanding of children’s health. By working together with families, researchers, health care providers, and communities, we hope to learn more about what helps children grow and thrive.
