Meet the Team
The ECHO Ohio team is made up of researchers from The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Nationwide Children’s, who work together to support our study and the families who participate.
Our research staff are the primary people you will meet during study visits. They recruit and schedule our participants, answer questions, collect biospecimen samples and measurements, and make sure each visit runs smoothly. They also do much of the work behind the scenes, including processing and shipping biospecimen samples to our data analysis center, making sure surveys and study systems are working properly, and ensuring proper research methods.
Our principal investigators (PIs) provide overall leadership for the study. They help guide the research, oversee study activities, and make sure the study is conducted safely and according to research requirements. Our co-investigators bring their own areas of expertise to the study and help guide the research and interpret what we learn.
Although we each have different roles, we are all united by one goal: to advance children’s health and well-being through research that can help children and families for years to come.
