Road Construction
Due to state and city road construction around Nationwide Children’s Hospital, please plan additional travel time. Below is a summary of current and upcoming construction. Check back for updates as these projects progress.
Columbus Crossroads I-70/71 Project
Parsons Avenue Bridge Closure – Begins July 6- Parsons Avenue Bridge over I-70 east will be closed for 60 days.
- Detour will use either Grant Avenue or South 18th Street.
- Access to the hospital Emergency Department, Orthopedic Center and the Wexner Research Institute will be from Livingston Avenue.
- Parsons Avenue and Mooberry Street Intersection - Continues
- The new Parsons Avenue exit from I-70 eastbound from the west/south is now open.
- Once the Parson’s Avenue Bridge opens back up in the Fall, work will intensify around this intersection.

Livingston Avenue Road Improvement
- Livingston Avenue road construction will continue between Grant Avenue and Parsons Avenue.
- Two-way traffic will be maintained throughout construction.

Getting Here
From the NORTH
- Take I-71 South to Main St. exit
- Turn right onto Main Street off the exit
- Turn right onto Parsons Ave.
From the SOUTH
- Take I-71 North to I-70 East
- Take I-70 East to Parsons Avenue exit
- Turn right onto Parsons Avenue
From the EAST
- Take I-70 West to the Miller-Kelton Ave. exit
- Proceed West on Cole St. to Ohio Ave.
- Turn left onto Ohio Ave.
- Turn right onto Mooberry St.
- Turn left onto 18th St.
- Turn right onto Children’s Dr.
From the WEST
- Take I-70 East to Parsons Avenue exit
- Turn right onto Parsons Avenue
