School-Based Asthma Therapy Program
Did you know that Partners For Kids and School Health Services, in collaboration with primary care providers and specialists, offer a school-based asthma program? The School-Based Asthma Therapy (SBAT) Program serves students across 36 school districts and 362 schools, helping ensure children with asthma receive the medication and support they need right at school.
Through the program, the SBAT team provides:
- Asthma controller medications administered at school
- Medication orders coordinated by the SBAT team
- Ongoing monitoring and follow-up
- Asthma education and support for school staff and families
Last year, 542 new students with high-risk asthma were enrolled in the program. Learn more at NationwideChildrens.org/SBAT.
Resources to Support Teen Contraceptive Conversations
The Birth Control for Teens (BC4Teens) and Teen Pregnancy Prevention Pediatric Vital Signs teams offer resources to support adolescent contraceptive counseling. The Birth Control Menu and Body Map help patients compare contraceptive methods in a simple, visual format, while the Addressing Misinformation in Adolescent Contraceptive Care fact sheet provides practical guidance for navigating common misconceptions and building patient trust.
Together, these resources can help guide informed, patient-centered conversations that align with adolescents’ questions, preferences and goals when choosing a contraceptive method. 39th Annual Celiac Conference
Saturday, November 7 | 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This conference is designed for individuals living with celiac disease or gluten intolerance, as well as family members, caregivers and others who support them. Whether attendees are newly diagnosed or seeking to expand their knowledge, this event offers an opportunity to connect with others, learn from experts and gain valuable resources to support a gluten-free lifestyle. ADHD Academy
The ADHD Academy is a virtual education series designed for parents, caregivers, educators and others who support children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The series includes 10 topics offered twice during the school year starting again on September 29, 2026, through June 9, 2027.
Participants may register at any time for individual classes or for multiple sessions. Certificates of completion are available upon request to meet foster care and adoption training requirements.
