Independently Funded Program

To meet the growing demand for specialized training of qualified candidates, the ISP created this program for those who are independently funded.

Applicants must be approved by the International Advisory Council and provide proof of funding to cover living, educational and healthcare expenses during their stay in Columbus, Ohio. This amount is based $14,000.00 (minimum set by the United States Department of States) per year, prorated for the visit period. As with all scholars, the ISP will assist with the visa process, securing on-campus housing and other related issues.

Observational experiences may be available for physicians and nurses who are able to visit Nationwide Children's Hospital through funding from outside sources, generally their home institutions or personal savings. Visit times range from a week to a maximum of 3 months.

The Rotary International Fellowship Program is the most recent addition to the International Scholars Program at Nationwide Children's Hospital. In partnership with Dublin AM Rotary and other generous Rotary Groups, leading radiologists from around the world are invited to participate in two week fellowships to learn innovative, new minimally invasive interventional radiology treatment techniques for physicians to implement and train others upon returning to their home countries.
