Independently Funded Program

The Independently Funded Program is for scholars who use funding other than the Stecker Scholarship Program. The funds can be a scholarship from his/her own government, a professional association, his/her home institution, or an American charitable organization. The funding also can be self-support funds.

Each scholar has to provide evidence of sufficient funds to support living and housing expenses while receiving training at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Approved health insurance coverage is required by the International Scholars Program office.

There are two different application packets that an Independently Funded Scholar may select. The different applications are based upon the length of the visit and the scholar’s study goals, and the requirements for each packet are slightly different. If you have any questions, please contact ISP@Nationwidechildrens.org before applying.
