The Ohio Pediatric Care Alliance brings together two of Ohio’s pediatric leaders to collaborate and improve access for subspecialty pediatric care in our region. Current collaborations include Urology, BMT, and Heart services with the potential for additional specialties to be added.

University Hospital Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital (The Congenital Heart Collaborative)

UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital and Nationwide Children’s Hospital have joined forces to advance pediatric and adult congenital heart care services in Northeast Ohio. The Congenital Heart Collaborative provides families with access to one of the most extensive and experienced heart teams, highly skilled in the delivery of quality clinical services, novel therapies and a seamless continuum of care.

Neonatal Intensive and Special Care Nurseries

As America’s largest Neonatal Network, caring for more than 3,000 infants annually, Nationwide Children’s Hospital is proud to partner with birth hospitals throughout the region to provide immediate attention, specialized care, and the latest research and treatment options for newborns and their families in various locations throughout the state. 

With 305 beds located between our Nationwide Children’s NICUs and six NICU and special care units within local birthing hospitals, patients and their families receive care in the most technologically advanced and family-centered environments available anywhere.

At Nationwide Children’s we are committed to providing expert pediatric care to families throughout Ohio. That is why we are proud to partner with the following organizations to provide comprehensive, expert, family-centered clinical care. Our hospitalists provide care in the pediatric unit and nurseries, and provide consultations in the Emergency Department.

Partners For Kids

Partners for Kids

Created in 1994 by Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Partners For Kids, is the oldest and largest pediatric accountable care organization in the United States. It is responsible for the care of more than 470,000 children covered by Medicaid Managed Care across 47 counties. Partners For Kids equips providers with innovative tools and resources to meet quality metrics and provide seamless access to health care for all children.

Childrens Community Practices

Children’s Community Practices (CCP)

Children’s Community Practice (CCP) began in 2014 and includes a growing network of  pediatric practices fully operated by Nationwide Children’s Hospital. 

Currently, the CCP network is exclusively pediatric focused and includes practices  in Columbus, Ohio and throughout the region.

Sports Medicine

Sports Medicine

When schools and organizations partner with Nationwide Children’s Sports Medicine, they receive athletic training services and access to comprehensive care from the leaders in sports medicine. We work with coaches, athletic trainers and parents in many school districts throughout central Ohio to provide treatment for concussions and sports injuries. Our goal is to help athletes prevent injuries in the first place.

Nationwide Children’s collaborates with Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) across Ohio to expand access to high-quality pediatric services, share clinical expertise and strengthen community-based care. This collaboration ensures every child receives the comprehensive, family-centered care they deserve right in their own community.
